7 supervillains we want to see in the MCU

We’ve seen impressive characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but there are still plenty of villains who don’t make an appearance.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe ( MCU ) continues to expand and although we already know of the presence of new heroes on the screen, we still need to know more about the villains that are to come.

Marvel has incredible characters and infinite possibilities to explore in its cinematic canon, however, for many it remains an enigma who we will see next as the threat that will want to put our heroes in a predicament.

Sony Pictures has its sights set on some Marvel villains, specifically those who are a threat to Spider-Man . First with Venom , who already starred in a movie that does not end up being the version that fans expected, then with Morbius and the arrival of Carnage , and now with the announcement of a new movie about Kraven the Hunter , who will be played by Aaron Taylor -Johnson .

While Sony’s efforts are appreciated, the truth is that the tapes are alien to the future of the MCU , which seems disappointing in an era in which crossovers are the new trend in the superhero genre. Marvel Studios has to get in on the action and soon.

With this in mind, we have made a list of the villains that are very likely to appear in the MCU.

magnet

While some dream of the possibility of seeing Wolverine , Cyclops , Beast , Professor X and the rest of the X- Men in the MCU , there are others who have paid special attention to the villains of the mutants, who to date continue being one of the best in the repertoire of bad guys at the House of Ideas.

The mutant super-team has rivals by the lot, however, of all of them, Magneto is the most likely to appear in the MCU , because without him there is no X-Men , it’s that simple. But, unlike its previous versions, bringing the Master of Magnetism back represents a major challenge, especially as time passes and in 2023, it seems difficult to synchronize the origins of Erik Lehnsherr’s Nazi Germany with the current MCU timeline. .

While this new form of time-jumping may solve the lives of the writers of Marvel Studios, it would still be necessary to deal with the fact of the iconic performances of Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellen, who remain fresh in the memory of fans.

Mephisto

When rumors that Mephisto could be the villain behind all the strange happenings on WandaVision , the internet became abuzz with emotions.

It was not for less, the character created by Stan Lee and John Buscema , is a demon with the ability to make the heroes of the Marvel Universe see their luck , thanks to his vast arsenal of abilities that include superhuman strength and resistance, shape change and size, projecting illusions, manipulating memories, altering time, immortality, immunity to aging and all forms of disease.

The outcome we all know, Agatha Harkness was the culprit of putting Scarlett Witch in a predicament and the possibility of seeing Mephisto vanished as quickly as it came, being a low blow for the fans and one more disappointment for the MCU .

Dr doom

The Fantastic Four are yet to arrive in the MCU , although Marvel has yet to confirm any details. Regardless of the release date, as well as the cast that will bring the quartet to life, what is a fact is that with them also comes Victor von Doom , one of Marvel’s most popular supervillains.

Marvel Studios will have the difficult task of redeeming the character after two installments for oblivion, in which Dr. Doom was a miniscule threat unlike the comics, in which he has put the Marvel superfamily in countless predicaments.

Galactus

And if we are already with the Fantastic Four, it would also be good to start assessing the arrival of Galactus to the hosts of Marvel in the cinema.

While it would be too much to ask that both the Planet Eater arrive at the same time as Doom, it would be amazing to see it in Phase 5 of the MCU. After seeing the destructive potential of Thanos, fans dream of seeing something of equal proportions and Galactus, with that irrational desire to end everything in his path, more than fulfills that purpose of putting Earth’s heroes in serious trouble.

Kang the Conqueror

Continuing with the intergalactic threats we have Kang the Conqueror, the traveling tyrant from the future capable of traveling in time, who has led him to face numerous Marvel heroes throughout different decades.

Confirmed to be the villain of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania , this character (who would be played by Jonathan Majors ) is one of those that excites us the most because thanks to the comics we know of his insane power coming from his advanced battle armor which allows you to enhance your strength, project energy, holograms, and force fields. Watch out Scott Lang.

Mr. Sinister

While there were allusions to Mister Sinister in the Fox movies (he was even rumored to appear in Logan ), this prolific X-Men supervillain has yet to appear in theaters.

Sinister would be a great supervillain within the MCU because he can cause evil from the shadows, something that as we saw repeatedly is something that Marvel creatives like, yes, they would first have to deal with the arrival of the X-Men .

Onslaught

If the X-Men make it to the MCU, Magneto will . And if Magneto made it to the MCU, most likely Onslaught as well.

One of the most dangerous and destructive villains of all time, Onslaught is an entity that emerged from a traumatic fusion of the darkest parts of Professor X and Magneto’s psyche .

Onslaught has abilities such as telepathy, telekinesis, energy projection, mutant presence detection, manipulation of magnetic fields, and reality-altering. If this seems little to you, this monster has two more advanced forms that make it an almost divine being.
