A Quiet Place 3 begins filming; see photos of Krasinski and Lupita on set
New franchise title will be prelude set at the beginning of the alien invasion
A Quiet Place: Day One, the new installment of the horror franchise A Quiet Place, has begun filming. Producer John Krasinski showed photos from the first day of recording, including a click where he appears next to the film’s star, Lupita Nyong’o – check it out below.
“So honored to be here on day one of A Quiet Place: Day One with conductor Michael Sarnoski [director] and the legendary Lupita Nyong’o. Can’t wait to see the magic they conjure this time around!” he wrote.
Neither Krasinski nor Emily Blunt are expected to return in front of the camera in this third film in the horror saga. This time, we’ll follow the events of the first day of the alien invasion that resulted in the post-apocalyptic world seen in the previous films.
Released in 2018 and 2020, A Quiet Place and its sequel have collectively grossed over $600 million at the worldwide box office. While the first feature is available for streaming on Star+, Prime Video and Telecine, the second can only be seen on Netflix.
Day One is set to open in theaters on March 8, 2024.
