Black Panther: Wakanda Forever: Could Killmonger Return?

After the death of Chadwick Boseman, many want Michael B. Jordan to return as Killmonger to Black Panther, and – according to a report – this could happen. But there is a twist.

At the end of the first Black Panther movie, the titular hero (played by the late Chadwick Boseman ) defeats his cousin Killmonger ( Michael B. Jordan ) in battle by stabbing him. Although T’Challa offers to cure him, the villain points out that he prefers to die rather than live in prison, so the protagonist takes him to a waterfall where he dies in peace.

Despite this, many fans are calling for the character to return for the next Wakanda Forever movie and some even believe he should take up the mantle of Black Panther

Is Michael B. Jordan back?

At the moment, the return of Michael B. Jordan to the Marvel Universe has not been confirmed (at least in _ live-action –_since he dubbed some episodes for What If? ), and the general consensus is that the character is dead. Marvel usually takes their deaths seriously, so the only way this could happen is for us to see an alternate version of the multiverse, but according to reports, this won’t happen.

However, a Twitter user who has accurately leaked some things in the past has mentioned that Michael B. Jordan will return to Black Panther, it just won’t be as everyone expects and that it will actually only have a small sequence, and yes …still dead. The user in question is Greatphrase, who responded to a user suggesting that Killmonger take up the mantle of Black Panther. “He only has one scene and he’s clearly dead,” he noted.

This report gains credibility as other users have mentioned something similar, albeit in a not very direct way. Other reports suggest that Killmonger ‘s scene could be in the Ancient Plane (where Wakandans go after death), and that Shuri will talk to the character.

The scene makes sense as it fits in with T’Challa ‘s experience in the first film facing his father on the Ancient Plane and since reports suggest that Shuri will be the next Black Panther , she may have to go there during the movie. ritual and have a conversation with Killmonger

Also, this could be a way for Michael B. Jordan to pay homage to Chadwick Boseman, and his character would explain why T’Challa isn’t on the Ancient Plane . This could be an emotional sequence for Shuri while we may see a change in the character of Killmonger . The truth is that his resurrection is not at the table.

If Michael B. Jordan will return in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, we most likely won’t know until the film’s premiere.
