Bridgerton | Rupert Evans of Evil Doll will be Edmund Bridgerton in the series
The character should join the cast for the second season of production, still without a release date.
Netflix found its Edmund Bridgerton. The streaming giant announced today (28) that actor Rupert Evans, from The Man in the Tall Castle and Dummy of Evil, has been cast to play Violet Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmell). The news was told by Twitter, check it out:
“Dear readers, Rupert Evans joins the Bridgerton cast as Edmund Bridgerton, Violet Bridgerton’s loving and dedicated husband and an infinitely patient and kind father who is especially proud to guide his eldest son Anthony throughout his life.”, says the tweet.
The character should join the cast for the second season of the series, already in production, with no release date yet.
Based on the book series by author Julia Quinn, Bridgerton tells the story of an English aristocratic family who finds themselves caught up in a network of lust and betrayals. The cast includes names like Jullie Andrews, Adjoa Andoh, Ruby Barker, Jonathan Bailey, Jason Barnett and Sabrina Bartlett.
Netflix recently renewed Bridgerton for the 3rd and 4th seasons, and also announced a derivative series focusing on Queen Charlotte. The first season is now available in streaming.
