Bridgerton | Simone Ashley, from Sex Education, joins the 2nd-grade cast

Actress will play Kate Sharma, newcomer to London who delights Anthony

Known as the Sex Education Olivia , Simone Ashley was cast as Kate Sharma in the second season of Bridgerton . The character, who will delight Anthony Bridgerton ( Jonathan Bailey ), will be a “ determined and intelligent ” woman with no patience for uncomfortable people – check out the official announcement below:

Based on the book series by author  Julia Quinn,  Bridgerton tells the story of an English aristocratic family who finds themselves caught up in a network of lust and betrayals. The cast includes names like  Jullie Andrews,  Adjoa Andoh,  Ruby Barker,  Jonathan Bailey,  Jason Barnett, and  Sabrina Bartlett. 

The first season is now available on Netflix. The streaming announced that it is also preparing a  second season .
