More than 5 years after the Oscar winner Spotlight, Tom McCarthy is back with his new drama-thriller Stillwater, and the trailer promises an intriguing story. Headliners, we find Matt Damon but also Camille Cottin, one of the most popular French actresses in Hollywood. at the moment, who are carrying out an investigation in the heart of Marseille. While Bill Baker is an American worker, the latter is forced to leave Oklahoma to go to the rescue of his daughter, accused of murder in France. Distraught in a country he does not know and whose language he does not master, his meeting with a Frenchwoman, Virginie, will allow him to move forward in his mission to exonerate his daughter. In this feature film, the French touch will not only be led by Camille Cottin, since Tom McCarthy wrote the screenplay in collaboration with Marcus Hinchey and the French Noé Debré, and Thomas Bidegain.
