Here are the first images of the Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon
The filming of House of the Dragon , the prequel to Game of Thrones , has just started and HBO has unveiled the first photos.
These are the first images that are sure to delight Game of Thrones fans. The filming of House of the Dragon has just started in the southwest of England, near Cornwall, and the American channel HBO has decided to unveil the first images. For the moment, nothing spectacular but visuals that allow us to see more of the costumes of the characters but also of those who wear them. Among the most famous faces of these first images, we can already see the presence of Matt Smith, the former Doctor Who, who will play the role of Prince Daemon Targaryen. Actress Olivia Cooke noticed in the film Ready Player One, Alicent Hightower will play. For her part, Emma D’Arcy will play Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. Steve Toussaint will be Lord Corlys and Rhys Ifans will slip into the shoes of Otto Hightower.
House of the Dragon will take place almost 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones. The series will follow the adventures of the Targaryen family on the continent of Westeros. Miguel Sapochnik and Ryan Condal will develop the series. Writer George RR Martin is also involved in this project, as he is cited as executive producer. House of The Dragon is not scheduled to air until 2022 on HBO Max ( OCS in France) and is the first step in a multi-year plan for the US streaming platform. 4 other series, including an animated series, are currently in development, as well as a musical adaptation on Broadway.
