The New Planet of the Apes movie won new updates this Thursday (29). 20th Century Studios, responsible for filming, revealed on its Twitter that the film will be called Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, in free translation) and will premiere in 2024; see below:
The sequel will take place years after Planet of the Apes: War (2017) and will star Owen Teague (It), Freya Allen (The Witcher) and Peter Macon (The Orville).
The film, in development since 2019, will be directed by Wes Ball (Maze Runner) and written by Josh Friedman.
Adapting the novel by Pierre Boulle, the first Planet of the Apes movie hit theaters in 1968. Due to its box office success, the film spawned four sequels and a reboot directed by Tim Burton in 2001. Ten years later, the franchise gained a new one. I start over with Planet of the Apes – Inception, which won The Confrontation and The War, sequels directed by Matt Reeves and starring Andy Serkis.
