No Look Up, with DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence, gets date on Netflix

Streaming platform announced all releases from September to December

Netflix has announced the release date for Adam McKay’s (Vice) comedy, Don’t Look Up, starring duo Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence. The film will hit the platform on December 24, Christmas Eve.

In the plot, two slang astronomers discover that a meteor is on its way to Earth, and set off on a press tour to try to warn humanity. Ariana Grande, Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Timothée Chalamet, Cate Blanchett, Kid Cudi, and Matthew Perry are also in the cast.

This afternoon, Netflix announced the date of several other original productions, including films starring Michael Keaton (How Much Is It? Sept. 8), Melissa McCarthy (A Nest for Two, Sept. 24), Idris Elba (Revenge & Punishment, on 11/3), Tessa Thompson (Identity, on 11/10), Dwayne Johnson (Red Alert, on 11/12), Halle Berry (Injury, on 11/24), Rodrigo Santoro (7 Prisoners, on 11/24), Benedict Cumberbatch (Attack of the Dogs, on 12/01) and Sandra Bullock (The Unforgivable, on 12/10).
