The film is a version a bit different from the classic story of Frankenstein by Mary Shelley (who supposedly wrote when he was just a teenager), where the monster is actually a woman with erotomanía (ie, which has the delusion that someone is in love with her when clearly it is not the case) who goes by the name Bella Baxter.

But Victoria’s story does not end there, after her death, a surgeon decides to bring her back to life using the brain of the baby she was expecting, which means that Bella comes back to life with the mentality of a girl, but eventually she becomes engaged to a Glasgow doctor who ends up drugged so that she can escape with a lawyer who takes her to tour Europe, where her brain begins to mature and she develops greater awareness.
