Taylor Swift Takes On Netflix ‘Ginny & Georgia’ Series

Taylor Swift reacted strongly to a segment of the Netflix series “Ginny & Georgia” that she considers sexist.

Taylor Swift shared a tweet on Monday, March 1 where she denounces the sexist side of the Ginny & Georgia series on Netflix. The American singer took up in this tweet a line from the series that says: “What can it do to you? You chain guys faster than Taylor Swift ”. A remark that did not please Taylor Swift at all who wrote in the caption: “Hey Ginny & Georgia, 2010 called and he would like to recover his lazy and deeply sexist jokes. What if we stop devaluing hard-working women by calling this bullshit funny? And then, Netflix, after Miss Americana these outfits don’t suit you. ” Miss Americana is a documentary from the streaming platform dedicated to the singer who reveals her complexes and tries to free herself from the approval of her audience. Taylor Swift concluded her tweet with “Happy Women’s History Month, I guess.” Thanks to her more than 80 million followers, the country singer’s tweet has been relayed more than 120,000 times and liked more than 500,000 times.

This is not the first time that Taylor Swift has reacted to sexist comments about her. In 2014, she had already criticized the media which always referred her to the image of the one who “just writes songs about her ex-friends”. She remarked on an Australian radio station that “nobody says that about Ed Sheeran or Bruno Mars. However, they write about their exes, their girlfriends, their love life, and nobody puts out a red flag for all that ”.
