The Bridgerton Chronicle: a season 3 and a season 4 already ordered by Netflix
The Bridgerton Chronicle will have a season 3 and a season 4, in addition to season 2 which is in the works! It was the creator of the Netflix series who announced that it had been renewed for two new seasons. While season 1 was about Simon Basset aka the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page) and Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor), and the sequel will focus on Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), find out what seasons 3 and 4.
The Bridgerton Chronicle renewed for season 3 and season 4
Since the release of season 1 on Netflix , The Chronicle of the Bridgertons has been a hit. The adventures of Simon Basset alias the Duke of Hastings ( Regé-Jean Page ), Daphné Bridgerton ( Phoebe Dynevor ) or Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) have fascinated the whole world. The Netflix series was quickly revamped and filming for Season 2 of The Bridgertons is about to begin. And even if the departure of Regé-Jean Page affected the fans , the reasons which pushed the actor BG to leave not being enough for the fans, here is a sequel is planned beyond the future episodes expected for the end of the year.
Indeed, the series has been renewed for a season 3 and a season 4 while season 2 has not yet been broadcast! It was Chris Van Dusen, creator and showrunner of the series produced by Shonda Rhimes , who broke the good news on Instagram.
Chris Van Dusen posted a photo of the gorgeous and glitzy setting of The Bridgertons Chronicle , captioning: “Even more #Bridgerton love coming to this room soon! Renewed for seasons 3 and 4!”. “I poured every ounce of myself into creating this show and the way the world continues to embrace it never ceases to amaze me. Thank you,” he clarified.
Information that the Instagram account @shondaland confirmed, via a statement from the character of Lady Whistledown. “This author is happy to share with you, dear readers, the happiest news” it says, “Bridgerton will return for seasons 3 and 4”.
What will season 3 and season 4 of the Netflix series be about?
While season 1 was about Simon Basset aka the Duke of Hastings and Daphne Bridgerton, season 2 is known to focus on Anthony Bridgerton played by Jonathan Bailey. As for Season 3, if it follows the Julian Quinn books that inspired the series, then it should be a season on Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson). He would have to meet a woman at a masked ball and look for her, while falling under the spell of a servant.
Regarding season 4, if it is once again inspired by volume 4, then it should be a season on Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan). Note that volume 4 takes place in 1824, or 11 years after season 1. So to see if there will also be a big jump in time in the series The Chronicle of the Bridgertons … or not.
