The Little Mermaid: New images of Halle Bailey appear on the live-action set
Production, which has recently resumed recordings, does not yet have a release date
The actress and singer Halle Bailey was spotted, again, in Italy filming the live-action of The Little Mermaid. This time, Bailey was registered in a cart and accompanied by an assistant (both in masks). Look:
Unlike the first released images of Ariel’s interpreter, no images of Jonah Hauer-King, Prince Eric, were available.
Live-action has recently resumed recordings in Italy, after being suspended last year due to the new coronavirus pandemic. The film is expected to be able to complete shooting by the end of July.
Rob Marshall (The Return of Mary Poppins) will be the director, with a screenplay by Jane Goldman (X-Men: Days of a Forgotten Future). In addition, Alan Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda will make the soundtrack, which will have the addition of new songs.
The new version’s cast also includes Jacob Tremblay (Jack’s Room), Awkwafina (Rich Rotten), Javier Bardem (Where the Weak Don’t Turn) and Daveed Diggs (Hamilton) and Melissa McCarthy (Mission Godmother of Marriage).
The Little Mermaid live-action still doesn’t have a date to reach the theaters.
