The Marvel films to be released in 2021 in theaters and on Disney Plus
Here is the complete list of Marvel movies to look forward to in this year 2021. The releases will begin in July with “Black Widow” and will be followed by other very interesting titles.
Remember all those Marvel movies that were supposed to arrive in 2020 but ultimately didn’t come out? Well, these are the ones that are theoretically going to arrive this year, although the order has changed slightly and the release dates keep changing. For example, a few days ago, Disney confirmed that Black Widow will not be releasing in May as thought, but is being postponed until July. In exchange, the first of the 2021 Marvel films would arrive at both theaters and Disney Plus. Nothing therefore assures us that the rest of the titles will not undergo date changes in the coming months. But if all goes according to plan, here are the Marvel movies you can see in theaters in 2021, and probably also on Disney Plus if you’d rather stay at home.
Black Widow – July 9, 2021
What happened to Natasha between Civil War and Infinity War ? This is what we will discover with this film, and we will finally learn more about its history and its origins. Finding herself in the middle of a conspiracy, Natasha is going to have to enlist the help of her family to find out who is behind it and clear her name once more. So far, it’s the only film confirmed to be simulcast on Disney Plus .
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings – September 3, 2021
The first superhero movie with an all-Asian cast is about to arrive. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film tells the story of Shang-Chi, the young son of a Marvel villain (who in the film appears to be the real Mandarin from Iron Man 3 ) who uses his talents in the arts. martial arts to fight his father and all the bad guys who get in his way.
Eternals – November 5, 2021.
Eternals, starring Black Widow, is another Marvel movie we should have enjoyed in 2020. It’s without a doubt one of the most anticipated Phases 4 movies. The film directed by Chloe Zhao ( Nomadland ) stars Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani, Richard Madden, Salma Hayek, and Kit Harington, among others. At the end of the year, we will see the origin of the Eternals, immortal beings, considered gods and as powerful as them (if not more), created by an alien race called the Celestials, also responsible for creatures called Deviants. , who will attempt to wipe out humanity unless these heroes end with them first.
Spider-Man: No Way Home – December 17, 2021
After the Far From Home finale , we need to know what’s going to happen to Peter and what Nick Fury is working on. Filming ended a few weeks ago. By the end of the year, we should be able to experience the third installment of The Hero of Queens. Everything indicates the Multiverse will make an appearance and rumors say we might even see Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield reprise their versions of Spider-Man for an epic encounter between the three. If so, it will definitely be considered the best Spider-Man movie and certainly one of the best Marvel movies of all time.
In principle, this is how Marvel will end the year, in a big way. It only remains to hope that there are no last-minute changes. Once we’ve seen them all, we can start to get excited about Doctor Strange 2 , which will be the first to release in 2022. Enough to catch up on all the missed movies this year and last year.
