This new Netflix series from the creators of La Casa de Papel will be a worldwide hit
On March 19, Netflix will unveil its new series, Sky Rojo . The creators of La Casa de Papel are in charge and it shows. Huge box in perspective.
If you were only to see one series on Netflix in this, for now, a lovely month of March, we can’t recommend you check out Sky Rojo enough. Nothing to do here with the sky, because the title of the series refers to a red faux leather sofa. The creators of La Casa de Papel , Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato, are at the helm of Sky Rojo . To qualify their new series, they speak of “Latin Pulp Fiction”. When we watch the trailer, we understand why.
Sky Rojo tells the story of three women, Coral (Verónica Sánchez), Wendy (Lali Espósito) and Gina (Yany Prado) who work at Club Las Novias, a brothel. Every day, they have to face the tyranny of their pimp and club owner Romeo (Asier Etxeandia), helped by two henchmen Christian (Enric Auquer) and Moisés (Miguel Ángel Silvestre). Those who follow the Spanish series will recognize the latter that we could see in season 3 of Narcos , Velvet and especially Sense8 where he played Lito, a Mexican actor who hides a secret. He will also be in season 5 of La Casa de Papel.
The lives of the three women will be turned upside down when Gina has to defend herself against Romeo, who threatens to kill her. Helped by her two companions, she will get by, but at what cost… The trio will have to flee and now survive with the two Romeo employees on their heels. They are ready to do anything to take revenge on these three women. A frenzied chase then begins. With blood, sex, humor (very dark) and what it takes of violence to raise the adrenaline rate of the spectators. Who should never find the time to be bored in front of the eight 25-minute episodes of Sky Rojo . A short format that will boost the action and allow you to take a good shoot of a new series. See you on March 19 on Netflix .
